Cooperation with Eurisy

ESOA works with Eurisy to ensure users know about essential services delivered from space to society. Eurisy is an NGO created in 1989 with the aim of promoting the benefits of space for European society. Eurisy's membership now includes 40 governmental space offices and space agencies, international organisations, research institutions, and private businesses involved in space-related activities or, more generally, in scientific and technological activities.

IN 2008, ESOA participated in Eurisy's workshop in Sinaia, Romania firstly by supporting a working group preparing a Case Study on Risk Management for the region of Timis, Romania and secondly by delivering a presentation showing the different equipment and solutions provided by different ESOA operators.

A simulation video of satellite services being deployed in an earthquake situation was also shown, developed by one ESOA member in cooperation with the European Space Agency.
